SAR & HAC Lab

SAR (specific absorption rate), generally known as electromagnetic wave absorption rate or specific absorption rate, is a measure of rate at which electromagnetic energy of mobile phones or wireless devices is absorbed by the human body. It is defined as the power absorbed per mass of tissue and has units of watts per kilogram (W/kg).

A high SAR rate can have certain adverse effects on the health, especially due to excessive exposure to electromagnetic radiation, such as fatigue, neurasthenia, and memory deterioration. With the development of information technology, although wireless devices have brought much convenience to people, concerns over the effects those terminals’ electromagnetic radiation may have on people’s health are also on increase. Therefore, almost all wireless communication devices are required to go through SAR testing.

With state-of-the-art French SATIMO SAR test system, CCIC-SET provides you with measurement of SAR against various international standards, such as IEEE 1528, OET65, IEC 62209-1/-2, EN 50566, and ANSI C63.19, covering all telecommunication modes of GSM, GPRS, WCDMA, LTE (FDD/TDD), CDMA and WIFI.

Frequency: 750MHz, 850MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz, 1900MHz, 2100MHz, 2300MHz, 2450MHz, and 2600MHz

HAC testing: H-Field, E-Field and T-Coil
