RF Conformance Testing Lab

CCIC-SET is a Recognized Test Organization (RTO) of Global Certification Forum (GCF) for Conformance Testing. With GCF C-RTO qualification, CCIC-SET is able to provide a full set of testing services against GCF certification criteria.

CCIC-SET owns R&S TS8980FTA-2, the latest test system in this filed, able to undertake 2G/3G/4G RF conformance test against GCF standards. CCIC-SET also owns R&S TS8991 test system to provide 2G/3G/4G OTA A-GPS test. In addition, CCIC-SET is qualified to offer RF conformance testing for mobile phone transmitter and receiver under the GCF certification schemes of GSM/EGPRS/WCDMA/HSPA/LTE according to various international standards such as 3GPP TS 51.010-1 (GSM), 3GPP TS 34.121 (WCDMA) , 3GPPTS36.521-1 (LTE), EN 301 511, and EN 301 908.

CCIC-SET’s testing capability covers the following scope:

*GSM 4 Frequencies: 850/900/1800 / 1900MHz;

* WCDMA 12 Frequencies: Band I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XIX;

* LTE FDD 16 Frequencies: Band 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 25;

* LTE TDD 4 Frequencies: Band 38, 39, 40, 41;

*3GPP fading simulation scenarios;

OTA Lab

OTA (Over-the-Air) test is to measure wireless devices’ connectivity to network and end-users’ effects on radiation emitting and receiving performance. OTA system measures the transmit power and receiver sensitivity metrics through three-dimensional test. It is an essential part of performance measurement of a mobile terminal device.

CCIC-SET is equipped with an advanced TS8991 test system manufactured by the famous German supplier Rohde & Schwarz, which supports test volume up to 0.5m*0.5m*0.36m and bears weight up to 50kg. With state-of-the-art equipment, we can undertake the testing of regular big sample in almost all telecommunication modes, such as GSM, GPRS, TD-SCDMA, WCDMA, LTE (FDD/TDD), CDMA, CDMA2000, WIFI, and Bluetooth; in addition, passive test has an wide frequency coverage ranging from 700MHz to 6GHz.

Bluetooth & WIFI RF Test Lab

In June 2012, European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) updated ETSI standards for the testing of broadband wireless transmission equipment with frequency of 2.4GHz and 5GHz. EN 300 328 and EN 301 893 were respectively updated to V1.8.1 and V1.7.1. The new versions have been enforced since January 1, 2015 and replaced the previous versions.

The updated versions have substantial amendment and incorporate more requirements for test items relating to output power, adaptive performance, etc., which poses stricter requirements for automation properties of testing process. It means that test undertaken by manual operation of individual instruments is no longer unable to meet the requirements of the new versions.

In a quick response to the test technological development, CCIC-SET is the first lab in Shenzhen to equip itself with the advanced TS8997 RF test system. With state-of-the-art equipment manufactured by the famous German supplier Rohde & Schwarz, CCIC-SET has a complete set of DFS testing capabilities to meet all the relevant technical requirements of the new standards.
